Fresh Look for Lautoka Diabetic Hub

Location:

The Lautoka Hospital has recently been home to a major upgrade, thanks to the generous support of The Reddy Foundation. A new, state-of-the-art diabetes hub has been established, breathing new life into the hospital’s facilities and providing essential care for those living with diabetes in the region.

Dr. Sapeta Taito, the Senior Medical Officer for Lautoka/Yasawa Subdivision, who oversees the hub, was on hand to receive the key for the newly renovated space from Narend Kumar, the Area General Manager of Reddy Group. This upgrade involved transforming an older building at the hospital, turning it into a modern, well-equipped hub to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community.

“I’m thankful we were pointed towards your direction because not only did you go above and beyond what we requested but you continued to fulfil and produce at a time where the nation is in crisis."

- Narend Kumar

Dr. Taito expressed her pride in having the Tanoa Group, which owns the Tanoa Hotels, continue to support the Western Division. She highlighted the importance of this collaboration and how it will positively impact patients, especially those battling diabetes. This new hub is a significant step forward in improving healthcare delivery in the region, offering specialized care and attention for the local diabetic community.

The Reddy Foundation’s commitment to enhancing healthcare facilities in Fiji demonstrates their ongoing dedication to improving the lives of people across the country. With this upgrade, the Lautoka Diabetic Hub is now better equipped to serve its patients and make a lasting difference in the fight against diabetes.

“We continue to assist by being responsible, sensitive, and aware of the communities and the environment in which we operate and do business.”
